Scope of Position:
The incumbent is responsible for directing the hotel sales team in achieving the rooms revenue goals as laid out in the hotel Marketing Plan as well as taking responsibility for all rooms sales, solicitation of new business and implementing sales action plans set forth in the Marketing Plan.

Duties and Supporting Responsibilities:
1. Meet with customers regularly and handle catering sales calls and catering leads.
2. Assist in handling important functions and support the Event Team and Sales Team in handling of large scale events.
3. Ensure all enquiries are handled promptly and efficiently according to guidelines set up by DOSM / DOS.
4. Meet with key banquet customers to build relationship.
5. Work with Room Sales team to generate / maximize revenue, hotel rooms and F&B.
6. Responsible for achieving budget and revenue generation.
7. Responsible for revenue forecast and monthly critique based on the timeline set by DOSM.
8. To provide training to the sales team in handling of events and in catering sales.
9. Constant review of pricing and selling strategies to ensure that competitiveness of pricing and offer.
10. Coordinate with Food & Beverage on all menus, packages and relay the information to sales team.
11. Participate in the preparation of monthly report and other reports according to business needs.
12. Ensure that all prices are competitive and that the contracts are renewed timely.
13. Assist in the preparation of Catering Projections.
Job Requested:
1. Must have a minimum of 6 years' experience in a role of either Conference Services or Catering Sales experience in a luxury hotel property.
2. Working knowledge of food and beverage operations and catering operations required.
3. Knowledge of Delphi is highly desirable.
4. Must have mathematical skills, computer software aptitude and some hotel operation knowledge.
5. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
6. Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to meet all expectations and standards of a luxury hotel property.
7. Must be self-reliant and self-motivator.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
9. Must be able to multi-task in a high paced environment.
